Position Overview
We are looking for a
Field Application Engineer (FAE)
to support our LiDAR product deployment with leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in North America. The FAE will serve as the technical bridge between customers and our engineering teams, ensuring successful system integration, testing, and commercialization of LiDAR solutions for ADAS, autonomous driving, and robotics applications. Key Responsibilities
Provide
on-site technical support
for LiDAR installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting at customer locations. Act as a
technical liaison
between OEM/Tier 1 customers and internal R&D teams, collecting requirements and driving issue resolution. Conduct
data collection, analysis, and system validation
to ensure product performance meets automotive standards. Deliver
technical training, product demos, and documentation
to customers and partners. Support local
manufacturing, quality validation, and regulatory compliance
activities. Collaborate with sales and business teams to support
pre-sales activities
and strengthen customer relationships. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, Optics, or related fields . 2+ years of experience in
FAE, system engineering, or automotive electronics
(sensor, ECU, ADAS, robotics). Familiar with
automotive communication protocols
(CAN, Ethernet), validation tools, and ADAS testing processes. Hands-on experience with
C++/Python/ROS
or data analysis tools is a plus. Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills; ability to work in a cross-functional, multicultural environment. Willingness to
travel domestically
for customer support and testing. Preferred Skills
Experience with
LiDAR or perception sensors . Knowledge of
automotive safety and quality standards
(AEC-Q, ISO 26262, ASIL). Bilingual (English + Mandarin) is a strong plus. Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives.
