This is a float position between EVS (housekeeping) and Food and Nutrition Services. The position will change weekly between departments, and the employee will be responsible for knowing both areas. Responsibilities
Environmental Services Technician Associate
Clean all patient areas daily with approved germicide and cleaning chemicals. Use wet floor signs or caution alerts for slippery or hazardous conditions. Follow infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, aseptic technique, and PPE usage. Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure a positive hospital experience. Maintain department policies regarding equipment placement and cleanliness. Dishroom Trayline Assistant
Assemble and portion meal trays accurately and efficiently. Familiarize with patient menu items and start meal service on time. Assist with tray service operations and restock supplies as needed. Return soiled trays for cleaning and sanitation. Properly clean dishes and smallwares, including operation of dishmachine and sanitizing sinks. Café Services Assistant
Know menu items, ingredients, and prices. Operate cash register accurately; assist with customer service and carry-out orders. Manage cash receipts and report daily sales accurately. Cleaning and Sanitizing
Clean patient and non-patient areas daily, including rooms, offices, and restrooms. Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge. Maintain cleanliness in food service areas, handle food properly, and follow HACCP standards. Customer Service
Interact positively with patients, visitors, and staff. Ensure patient rooms meet cleanliness standards and leave notes for staff. Greet customers courteously and assist as needed. Basic Computer Knowledge
Learn MS Office Outlook and EPIC system for bed tracking. Pass annual safety and confidentiality tests. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 year of experience preferred but not required. Basic reading, writing, and math skills required. CHEST certification within 1 year preferred. Additional Details
