This is a float position between EVS (housekeeping) and Food and Nutrition Services. The position will rotate weekly between both departments, and the employee must be knowledgeable in both areas. Responsibilities
Environmental Services Technician Associate
Clean all patient areas daily with approved germicide and cleaning chemicals. Use wet floor signs or caution alerts where hazards exist. Follow infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, aseptic techniques, and PPE usage. Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure a positive experience. Maintain department policies on equipment placement and cleanliness. Dishroom Trayline Assistant
Assemble and portion meal trays accurately and efficiently. Familiarize with menu items and start meal service on time. Assist with tray service operations and restock supplies. Return soiled trays for cleaning and sanitation. Clean dishes and smallwares properly, including operating dishmachine and sanitizing sinks. Café Services Assistant
Know menu items, ingredients, and prices. Operate cash register accurately and assist customers. Manage cash and sales reports diligently. Cleaning and Sanitizing
Clean patient and non-patient areas following proper procedures. Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms. Maintain sanitation in food service areas, handle food properly, and follow HACCP standards. Customer Service
Interact positively with patients, visitors, and staff. Ensure rooms meet patient satisfaction and communicate effectively. Basic Computer Knowledge
Learn MS Office Outlook and EPIC system. Pass required annual safety and confidentiality tests. Confidentiality
Follow hospital policies and federal regulations on patient confidentiality. Attend related training and meetings. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 year of experience preferred but not required. Basic reading, writing, math skills required. CHEST certification within 1 year preferred. Additional Details
