Provides cleaning services to patient and non-patient areas. Shift: 6pm-2am. Responsibilities

Adheres to Standards of Behavior and provides excellent customer service within a cohesive team. Communicates with patients, visitors and customers using designated scripting and engagement techniques. Performs cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms and ancillary areas (bathrooms, public areas, corridors, storage rooms) as directed by licensed clinical staff, using approved cleaning procedures. Cleans in-patient and non-patient rooms, including beds, furniture, fixtures, windows, blinds, restrooms, IV poles, and other room equipment; cleans floors and carpets. Replenishes supplies, removes biomedical waste and soiled linen, changes curtains as needed; moves cleaning carts and equipment; may use ladders. Completes patient room cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and maintains cleanliness standards. Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies and ADA, FMLA and other standards. Performs other related duties as assigned and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities. Qualifications

Education/Training: Ability to read and recognize similarities/differences between words and numbers; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to respond to common inquiries. Ability to access and use department computer systems such as Bed Management systems. Licensure/Certification: Able to complete required mandatory educational training.
