Overview Position: Environmental Housekeeper - PT- 3rd Shift

Shift Times: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

Provide cleaning services to patient and non-patient areas in accordance with Standards of Behavior and customer service expectations.

Communicate with patients, visitors, and customers using approved scripting and engagement techniques.

Clean and disinfect patient rooms and ancillary areas, including bathrooms, public areas, corridors, and other spaces as directed by licensed clinical staff.

Clean patient rooms and equipment (beds, furniture, light fixtures, windows, restrooms, IV poles, etc.) and manage supplies and waste daily.

Replenish supplies, remove biomedical waste and soiled linen, and change curtains as needed.

Operate cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, carts) and assist with moving supplies and equipment; climb ladders as required.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols; participate in quality improvement activities.

Attend mandatory training and in-services and maintain regular attendance per policy.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers, write simple correspondence, and respond to inquiries. Familiarity with department computer systems (e.g., Bed Management systems) is a plus.

Licensure/Certification:

Must complete required mandatory educational training.

None required.
