Each member of our staff is committed to service, innovation, and the success of our clients. This position will be working out of our Rone Engineering office in the Kansas City Metro. POSITION The position is a staff engineer. The position is designed for advanced growth and development in a growing company. The successful candidate will assist in engineering tasks, field exploration services, report preparation, lab and field testing, and project engineering. The successful candidate will work with project management, project engineers, and field personnel. The successful candidate will reside in the Lenexa, Kansas (Greater Kansas City area) office and report directly to the Regional Manager. A competitive salary/incentive package is offered. Significant growth opportunities will be available for the right candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES The focus of this role is building advanced engineers and future leadership in Rone Engineering. The role keys on engineering abilities, service objectives, party objectives, business value, quality management, and construction operations. The role carries the following responsibilities: Learning company’s advanced abilities Learning compaction in construction with advanced education Learning advanced process controls in construction Support senior engineering staff as needed Manage projects outside local office area to help with overall workload management Geotechnical report preparation and oversight Materials testing support as needed Business development in association with our local business development representative Client/Project management responsibilities Working on multiple projects simultaneously QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE The successful candidate must hold an acceptable civil or geotechnical engineering degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 5 years’ experience with professional registration in Kansas and Missouri preferred. Registration in other states is a plus. The candidate should be technically proficient, motivated to learn, growth oriented, and ambitious.
