Civil Engineer

to work with both the transportation and water teams, providing planning, design, and technical assistance to Discipline Managers across water and transportation projects within budget and schedule. The

hybrid

position will be based in Hernando, MS, Oxford, MS, or Memphis, TN. Since nearly 50 years, Waggoner has delivered results through a culture of integrity, service, and creativity. Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

Perform engineering analysis and design (2D and 3D) for projects such as: Roadways, intersections, and related infrastructure, including new construction and rehabilitation Water distribution systems and sanitary sewer collection systems Hydraulic modeling Pump station modeling and analysis Water and wastewater treatment Assist with preparing construction plans, specifications, and contract documents for bidding and construction. Assess and evaluate existing systems, recommending remedial measures. Conduct construction phase engineering, including on-site reviews, in collaboration with Construction Services. Maintain communication with clients throughout project development and completion. Attend project management meetings and review project status, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Support quality control procedures and ensure compliance with applicable codes. What You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering At least 3 years of related engineering and design experience EIT certification; PE license preferred Applicable civil engineering certifications Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to engineering and public works projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) are desirable Why Join Our Team
