Join The Coffee Oasis as a Part‑Time Youth Engagement – Outreach Specialist in Port Orchard, WA 98366 and become an integral part of a mission‑driven organization dedicated to uplifting youth and fostering community. This onsite position allows you to actively engage with local youth, making a direct impact on their lives and promoting positive development. The hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00, reflecting your commitment to excellence and the importance of your role in the community.

Responsibilities
Organize and facilitate engaging activities, workshops, and events to promote positive youth development.
Conduct outreach efforts, connect with young people in the community, and encourage their participation in programs.
Collaborate with team members to assess the needs of the youth and provide support where needed.
Document program progress, participate in team meetings, and engage with families to foster community involvement.
Flexibly schedule approximately 20 hours per week around after‑school hours and weekends to accommodate youth availability.
Qualifications
High school graduation or some college (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and trust with at‑risk youth aged 13‑25.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor; experienced in outreach, advocacy, or related social services, particularly with homeless and at‑risk youth within streets, schools, and juvenile justice system.
Proficient in relevant software tools for tracking engagements and progress; skilled in communication platforms to collaborate with team members and community agencies.
Ability to pass a background check to volunteer in the public schools.
Professionalism to connect with schools and other public and community organizations.

We do this through safe shared spaces, mentorship, street and school outreach, goal setting, job training, shelter, and crisis services. The only way for our mission to succeed is through the support of the entire community – intentional inter‑generational and cross‑cultural investment. We accomplish this mission through a sustainable and successful coffee business. The cafés offer a "third place" for the community to gather and buy products with the added value of all profits returning to create opportunities for youth.
