The role leads three H&R Block tax offices, providing leadership to customer‑centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. You will serve as the front‑line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

You will start a flexible part‑time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full‑time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in‑person (not remote).

Responsibilities

Provide leadership over three tax offices and manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.

Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office‑level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.

Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.

Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.

Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.

Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.

Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.

Travel between offices as required.

Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Your Expertise

People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.

Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth‑oriented culture.

Strong decision‑making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset.

Computer proficiency with MS Office.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
