Overview
Coordinates administrative processes and directs and responds to business matters involving administrative functions related to education, research, and/or operations. Creates and maintains documents, spreadsheets, databases, meetings, and special events, and alerts supervisor to critical issues and upcoming events. Responsibilities
Documents & Databases:
Responds to and composes correspondence; creates and maintains standard spreadsheets and/or databases; prepares queries, reports, statistics, tables, and charts based on information from various sources; determines format, elements, and trends. Website:
Maintains websites and/or blogs; creates new web pages and updates standard information within the content management program. Accounting:
Approves expenses, purchases, and reimbursements per budget; creates and maintains financial records; prepares forms; verifies charges; processes and reconciles expenses, transfers, and appropriation changes; updates financial transaction spreadsheets and databases; generates summary reports and statistics; processes routine payroll actions; maintains accounting balances for grants/contracts. Human Resources:
Initiates full range of HR actions such as new employee orientation; resolves hiring and termination processing problems. Coordinations:
Manages supervisor and/or department calendar; handles registration and travel; organizes events and creates timelines; collects agenda items and background materials; creates registrant profiles; coordinates complex itineraries; verifies invoices and reconciles to budget. Contacts:
Responds to inquiries; provides basic interpretation of policies and procedures; researches information to resolve problems or issues. Miscellaneous:
Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 4 years of administrative support or other relevant experience required. Minimum Competencies
Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, finance, or business. One year of customer- or patient-facing experience or equivalent experience in a matrixed environment. Preferred Competencies

Target hiring range for this position is $19.89 - $27.97 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. Benefits
