Trust Doctor (ST1-2) for RUH Hospital at Home The closing date is 30 October 2025
This post is for an ST1 - ST2 grade trust doctor for RUH Hospital at Home.
Starting as soon as possible this is a fixed term contract to 31/3/2026.
The post holder will provide expert assistance to the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of a high quality service to patients being cared for under Hospital at Home. The post holder is expected to participate in all aspects of the patient pathway as appropriate and will be expected to perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, working remotely in a home setting.
You will be part of the multidisciplinary team arranging ongoing rehabilitation and discharge. You will be expected to have very good communication skills and communicate regularly with the MDT, patients and their relatives.
The post involves working standard days Monday to Friday with a requirement to work 1:4 weekends (time to be taken back during the week). Working hours will be 8am-6pm.
Main duties of the job
Visiting patients at home.
Working as part of the MDT.
Ability to drive in the UK is essential.
Car ownership is preferred.

Person Specification
MBChB, MBBS or equivalent
Ability to appropriately assess acutely unwell frail older people and initiate an appropriate management plan
Completion of F1 training or equivalent
Able to drive in the UK
MRCP or equivalent
Extensive experience in Geriatric Medicine including subspecialty and outpatient care.
Sound understanding of medicolegal framework of geriatric medicine
MRCP or equivalent
Ability to appropriately assess acutely unwell frail older people and initiate an appropriate management plan
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
