We value collaboration, respect, and a positive culture. The Role - Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
As a CVT with us, you’ll be a key part of the medical team, working side-by-side with doctors and colleagues who value your expertise. You’ll: Use your full range of technical skills: anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, nursing care. Provide excellent patient and client care with modern tools and medicine. Deliver patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian (DVM). Maintain clear and accurate medical, client, and case records. Review records, treatment estimates, and discharge instructions with clients; escalate medical questions as needed. Guide and support medical support staff to ensure efficient shift operations. Mentor team members and participate in performance evaluations. Assist with client services including appointment scheduling, payments, and check-in. Provide feedback to training programs; participate in training sessions and job shadows. Perform cleaning, clinic upkeep, and equipment maintenance. Delegate cleaning or other duties during slow periods when a supervisor is unavailable. Identify and address areas needing additional attention within the clinic environment. Respond to client inquiries about routine procedures and animal care. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to support patient care and hospital operations. Perform other related duties as assigned within the nature and level of work. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program. Current state veterinary technician license in good standing. One year of experience in the veterinary industry preferred. Proficiency in lab procedures, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental care, and nursing. Ability to administer SQ, IM, and IV injections. Knowledge of veterinary medications, dosing, and client communication. Understanding of anesthesia and patient recovery monitoring. Ability to stay calm in fast-paced environments, including emergencies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfort handling animals of all sizes and temperaments. Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb. Lift up to 50 pounds independently; more with assistance. Occasional exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications. Adequate hearing and vision to perform duties. Travel
