Behavioral Health Specialists and LVNs/LPTs. Shifts
Shifts vary as needed; 8:30am - 5:00pm with additional hours as needed; Days Monday - Friday with additional days as needed. Expected starting wage range is $34.43 - $42.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program and current licensure Current CPR/BLS certificate Two (2) years of LVN/LPT experience in a health care environment One (1) year of supervisory experience For Community Crisis Homes: Must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician credential within sixty (60) days of initial employment and maintain credential through employment; For Los Angeles County CRT homes, One (1) year experience providing direct care to individuals with mental disabilities One (1) year experience providing direct care to individuals with Developmental Disabilities Within one year of employment, complete Direct Support Professional (DSP) competency-based training with required tests; prior completion meets this requirement Must be at least 18 years of age Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days and maintain certification All opportunities are contingent upon post-offer checks (physical examination, tuberculosis test, background clearances, sanctions, license verification). If driving is required, valid driver license, vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required Valid and current driver\'s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups (weekly mileage reimbursement at IRS rate) Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings (weekly mileage reimbursement at IRS rate) Preferred
Previous experience with population to be served or in a similar program setting Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, and knowledge of psychotropic medication Essential Functions
Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and interactions Supports 24-hour on-call responsibilities for Community Crisis Homes as scheduled; must be available to come to the program within 30 minutes during emergencies Oversees and provides direct nursing care Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates work on the assigned shift May assume charge or shift lead responsibilities as needed Supervises designated staff; provides orientation, training, recruitment, selection, and disciplinary actions as needed Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with members served Provides nursing care and assists with admissions and discharges Collects data relevant to care and develops nursing care plans Demonstrates crisis management and intervention knowledge Transcribes physician orders accurately and promptly Administers medications and treatments Adheres to medication management policies Coordinates medication counts and shift handoffs Receives and presents change of shift reports Notifies prescribers and nursing supervisor of changes in behavior or condition Documents progress toward Recovery Plan goals Attends community meetings and participates in multidisciplinary teams Assists with restraints or crisis training as applicable to setting Skills
Ability to review and implement Recovery/Treatment plans Ability to administer oral and injectable medications Ability to report observations and concerns clearly Ability to implement crisis de-escalation techniques Physical Demands
