Senior Controls & Automation Engineering Specialist We're seeking an experienced Controls & Automation Engineering Specialist to lead PLC and SCADA system development across our multi-state manufacturing facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic system development, offering an exciting opportunity to shape our automation future. Position Overview
As our Controls & Automation Specialist, you'll serve as a technical leader across our facilities in Ohio, Minnesota, and Illinois, focusing on web handling, coating, and slitting process automation. Responsibilities
Design, program, and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Lead automation initiatives for web handling and coating processes (hot melt, solvent, emulsion, UV curing) Develop and implement control system integration solutions for motors, sensors, and actuators Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support across multiple facilities Build and enhance internal controls engineering capabilities Manage and coordinate with external automation contractors when needed Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering 10+ years of controls engineering experience Advanced expertise in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development 5+ years of web handling machinery experience Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD) Strong project management and communication skills Additional Qualifications
Six Sigma or PMP certification Spanish proficiency Experience with coating processes and UV curing systems Why Join Us
