Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
The Westin Tampa Bay is a Pyramid Global Hospitality property located three miles from Tampa International Airport with bay views and convenient access to attractions and the Westshore business district. Responsibilities
Maintain the hotel’s facilities by performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure top-notch operational performance.
Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and address maintenance problems efficiently to minimize downtime and guest/staff disruption.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
Collaborate with front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to promptly address maintenance needs.
Propose and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Respond to emergencies, including power outages, plumbing issues, and HVAC malfunctions.
Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections to prevent problems before they arise.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
Demonstrate adaptability by handling various tasks with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Take ownership of responsibilities and strive for excellence in every task.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a hotel engineer or in a similar maintenance role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification is a plus.
A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards.
