PRN Pharmacist
to help drive operational efficiency and processes. Job Summary
The
PRN Pharmacist
plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring continuity of care across multiple departments. This position provides pharmacist coverage as needed, supporting sterile compounding, prescription verification, and related functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional precision, a commitment to regulatory compliance, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities
Provide pharmacist coverage across various departments, including sterile compounding, prescription verification, and related pharmacy operations. Ensure all pharmaceutical tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Partner with colleagues across departments to maintain seamless workflows and uphold patient safety and quality standards. Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with company protocols and clinical best practices. Maintain detailed and compliant records, adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards when applicable. Support a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all operational areas. Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a regionally accredited institution. Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Texas. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a retail, compounding, or prescription verification environment. Comprehensive clinical knowledge with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, quality-driven setting. Preferred Qualifications
IV Certification with hands-on experience in non-sterile and sterile compounding, adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards. Familiarity with 503A compounding regulations and best practices for patient-specific prescription preparation. Experience in formulation processes, documentation, and quality assurance within a compounding pharmacy. Minimum of two years (2) of hands-on experience with LifeFile and Pioneer compounding software. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a pharmacy or office environment. Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting.
