Job Summary The Audiologist will identify, treat, and monitor disorders of the auditory and vestibular systems of the ear using behavioral and auditory tests, including Tympanometry, Stapedial reflex tests, and Central Auditory Processing tests, for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include performing evoked potential tests with and without sedation, during surgery, and assessing and programming bone-anchored hearing devices. The audiologist will work in a team-based, multi-specialty environment, providing evaluation, assessment, education, and materials tailored to the patient's understanding. Additional duties may involve assisting in Quality Improvement Projects, Clinical Research Studies, and handling authorizations, diagnosis, billing issues, documenting interventions, and participating in departmental meetings, education, and equipment evaluation and selection.
Minimum Qualifications Doctorate in Audiology, completed CFY in Audiology, CCC-A through ASHA, and NYS License (or eligible) in Audiology are required. CPR-BLS certification must be obtained by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in ambulatory or outpatient services, working with pediatrics, and strong Cochlear and Baha experience are preferred.
Work Days Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
