Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry Job Details
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,790 – $1,920
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
Unit: 3W Cardiac Telemetry
Location: Bel Air, MD 21014
Start Date: November 3, 2025
End Date: February 2, 2026
Duration: 13‑week nursing contract
Shift: 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Population: Adults with cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
Unit Size: 30 beds, 22 rooms, average daily census of 25
Orientation: 48 hours
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact state (required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Telemetry or Telemetry nursing
Previous travel nurse experience required
BLS certification (AHA only)
Proficiency with electronic charting systems (any system accepted)
Comfortable managing a patient ratio of 5‑6:1
Ability to float within the hospital as needed
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Two recent professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Community hospital nursing experience preferred
Cardiac Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality patient care to adults on a busy Cardiac Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
Administer and monitor specialty drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, Lasix)
Utilize remote telemetry monitoring systems (Hicuity)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
Respond to rapid response/code situations; provide non‑invasive airway management
Perform peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as needed
Document patient care accurately and efficiently
