Job Summary

A Warehouse Automation Engineer is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems in warehouses, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation. This involves managing maintenance schedules, diagnosing faults in equipment like conveyors and robotics, and implementing upgrades to optimize performance and extend the life of the systems. The role requires a strong technical background in engineering, robotics, and industrial automation, along with strong problem-solving skills to keep warehouse operations running without disruption. Responsibilities

System Maintenance

Oversee and execute scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for automated systems, including AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), robotics, conveyors, and pallet shuttle systems. Troubleshooting & System Upgrades

Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automated equipment, robotics, and software to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime. Identify opportunities to upgrade or improve automated systems and implement new technologies as needed. Performance Monitoring

Track the performance of automated systems and make adjustments to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Documentation

Create and maintain documentation for maintenance protocols, system designs, and testing procedures to support ongoing operations. Collaboration

Work with warehouse managers, IT professionals, and other teams to integrate automation solutions and address business needs. Qualifications

Engineering Skills

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field is typically required plus 3 to 5 years of work experience. Technical Knowledge

Expertise in warehouse automation technologies, including robotics, conveyors, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots). Software Familiarity

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and related automation software. Knowledge of Geek+ preferred. Physical Requirements

Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures. Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
