Manufacturing Process Engineer - DSC at Textron Bell Textron. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support the Assembly Value Stream at Drive Systems Center in Fort Worth, Texas, contributing to major projects that advance strategic priorities and technical objectives. The role involves analyzing transmission design concepts to develop manufacturing technology for existing or advanced designs, processes, systems, and tools. The position represents Production Engineering as the manufacturing technical contact on projects, programs, and cross-functional teams. What You’ll Be Doing As a Manufacturing Process Engineer
Direct customer-facing experience supporting production, product industrialization, or frontline leadership. Able to identify, report, and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks. Develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for project management to meet objectives. Perform producibility analyses and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost-effective solutions for complex manufacturing objectives using data and analysis techniques. Follow a disciplined project management approach (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) to achieve goals and success criteria. Ensure work and deliverables are reviewed by team leadership, project/program management, and functional management to meet objectives. Mentor and share manufacturing technology with teammates and influence across functional teams. Knowledge or expertise in one or more manufacturing technologies, including but not limited to the following areas: Aero-structure, Electrical and Mechanical Systems, Tail/Main/Prop Rotor Blade Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Gear and Transmission Drive Systems, Tool and Equipment Integration. Qualifications — What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Engineering Technology. 2 years in Aerospace Design, Manufacturing, or Manufacturing Engineering roles. Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook). Experience with electronic product and project data in applications such as Catia, Enovia, CAMS, Primavera or similar. What We Offer You In Return
