As an Industrial Automation Technician at Japs-Olson you will play an essential role in keeping industrial equipment running. This role combines a tech-savvy mindset with an industrial mechanical background. We feature multiple automation platforms on some of the newest technologies in the printing industry. Primary Job Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs Work with drive manufacturers (Siemens, Lenz, and Schneider Electric) Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment Troubleshoot and repair large-scale presses Follow best practices to improve equipment uptime and reliability Utilize CMMS software for preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventory Follow management system procedures, 5S, and standard work Follow document control protocols Participate in rotating weekend on-call schedule Qualifications
PLC programming - multiple platforms preferred Strong networking knowledge Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics Previous experience in the manufacturing or printing industry is preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ownership of personal tools is required. Japs-Olson will repair or replace any tools that are damaged while in use on company equipment. Benefits
