Opportunity We are hiring a
Staff – Electrical Project Engineer – Substation Design and Power Electronics . This role is full‑time, based at a U.S. regional office with relocation eligible.
Key Responsibilities
Function as a technical lead for FACTS projects across distribution, sub‑transmission, and transmission voltage classes.
Utilize IEEE, IEC, NEC, NERC, ISO/RTO standards to define project requirements, review deliverables, and collaborate with OEM and owner resources.
Conduct research and apply non‑standard substation design knowledge.
Convey technical information to project teams with varying expertise.
Lead internal discussions to resolve technical or project management topics.
Coordinate with internal/external teams on moderately complex projects.
Assist with client interests and drivers on high‑voltage substation projects.
Preferred Qualifications
High voltage substation design experience – physical and/or protection & controls.
Project lead and technical specialist experience with utility substation clients.
Quality assurance/qc review experience.
Experience communicating with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum 5 years related work experience.
Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements.
