Heartland Veterinary Partners Practice Clayton Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility designed to support your pets from their first vaccine visit through their senior years. Our facilities combine compassion, advanced technology, and preventative medicine for cats, dogs, and exotic pets. Position Purpose We are looking to add an experienced veterinarian to our growing team! We treat dogs, cats, and exotics including reptiles, small mammals, pocket pets, and birds. Our passion lies in diagnostics and surgery, with regular use of laser therapy and ultrasound in our treatment plans. We seek a trusted partner in pet care, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. If this describes you, please apply! Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed. Provide guidance on end-of-life care for pets. Maintain accurate medical records. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and regulations. Requirements/Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Valid state licensure. Ability to obtain DEA/BNDD registration. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance needed for heavier loads.
