Overview

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Hartford, CT. This contract role runs from now through June 10, 2025, aligning with the school year. The position is in-person and supports Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students, with the academic year starting on August 28. Work hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week across two schools. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' communication development in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities

Provide speech language therapy services targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language development. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments as needed. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on evaluations and observations. Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives. Collaborate effectively with parents and school staff to communicate student progress and necessary interventions. Qualifications

Must hold or be eligible for certification with the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Connecticut Department of Education (DOE). Experience working in school settings is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to student and school needs. Benefits
