Coding Analyst (Medical) – Risk Adjustment

for a contract-to-hire role with a client located in Camarillo, CA. Hourly pay range: $38-$40. Duration: 6-12 months with the possibility of hire. Location: Hybrid - Camarillo, CA. Base pay range: $38.00/hr - $40.00/hr Responsibilities

Perform coding and risk adjustment activities to support CMS-HCC, HHS-HCC, and RADV processes. Contribute to data-driven financial modeling, risk adjustment analyses, and coding audits. Prepare and submit risk adjustment data through appropriate platforms. Collaborate with health plan or managed care teams to ensure compliant coding and financial reporting. Qualifications

Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), or equivalent certification (preferred). 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, medical coding, or risk adjustment within a health plan or managed care organization. Strong knowledge of CMS-HCC, HHS-HCC, and RADV processes. Experience in data-driven financial modeling, risk adjustment, and coding audits. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and financial modeling. Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and risk adjustment methodologies. Experience with risk adjustment data submission platforms. Familiarity with MediCal and Medicare Advantage financial models. Prior experience in a health plan or managed care setting. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, or a related field (required). Company information
