Overview
We are seeking a
Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathologist
to provide
comprehensive Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services
in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise across a wide range of pathology services and a commitment to diagnostic excellence, quality assurance, and collaborative clinical care. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a respected healthcare system, offering the chance to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and contribute directly to patient care. October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026 Qualifications
Board Certification or Eligibility in Pathology (Anatomic and/or Clinical) by the American Board of Pathology Dermatopathology candidates must hold appropriate board certification (ABD/ABP) or an International Diploma with validated equivalency Proven technical proficiency and fluency in English (verbal and written) Must meet all credentialing requirements, including verification of training, certifications, licensure, and experience Key Responsibilities
Provide a full range of
Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services , including: Surgical Pathology Cytopathology (non-GYN and abnormal GYN) Autopsy services Perform specimen grossing and intraoperative consultations as needed Prepare accurate and timely diagnostic reports using established criteria and coding standards (CPT, ICD-10) Conduct autopsies to determine cause of death when clinically indicated Review outside tissue specimens when required for patient treatment continuity Participate in intradepartmental consultations on complex or high-impact cases Serve as a clinical resource for laboratory and medical staff, offering expert consultation on sample acquisition, test interpretation, and pathology-related inquiries Maintain compliance with all applicable laboratory accreditation and regulatory standards Support quality assurance initiatives and help establish or maintain lab QA programs Assist in the management and coordination of postmortem examination services, including proper documentation, reporting, and communication with relevant stakeholders Schedule & On-Call Expectations
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required for autopsy-related procedures or urgent consults On-site presence is required during scheduled work hours Remote or hybrid work is

Previous experience in a hospital-based or federal healthcare environment Familiarity with regulatory compliance for laboratory operations (e.g., CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission) Experience supervising or mentoring laboratory personnel Strong interpersonal and communication skills Employment Details
