Overview West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a

Neuropsychologist

qualified for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Responsibilities

Provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions such as memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and others.

Experience providing pre-surgical evaluations with patients with movement disorders.

Practice model based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing.

Possible supervision of interns and postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows; teaching opportunities with medical students and residents within the department and Health Sciences Center.

Collaborative research activities may be developed based on applicant interest.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program.

Internship with experience in neuropsychology.

Postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology.

Eligibility for licensure in West Virginia is essential.

Those eligible for or certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology are encouraged to apply.

For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions ranging from Alzheimer's to Parkinson's; autism to stroke; and paralysis to chronic pain, addictions, and traumatic brain injury.

Neuroscience, including behavioral health and addiction, is one of WVU Medicine's Signature Programs. Within the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry there is a strong collaborative focus on clinical service, teaching, and scholarship among psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers. The department supports professional development with mentoring for clinical services, teaching, and scholarship.
