Job Summary West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a Movement Disorders specialist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and neurology residents. Candidates will join an active multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, neuropathologists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists for collaboration in the areas of patient care, research, and education.
WVU Neurology has an active multidisciplinary ALS clinic and the only MDA clinic in West Virginia. Our clinic offers a range of innovative approaches including deep brain stimulation (DBS), injections, medications, MR-guided focused ultrasound, rehabilitation and speech therapy. Through a new vision and strategic thrust for neuroscience at WVU, and through basic, applied, and translational/clinical research, the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute is a global leader in the discovery, development, and delivery of world‑class research in human performance and brain health.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent patient care for movement disorders.
Actively participate in teaching medical students and neurology residents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care, research, and education.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for state licensure.
Completed a neurology residency program and a movement disorders fellowship.
Board certified (or eligible) in neurology.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
