Travel Nursing Details
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Orange, CA 92868 (Southern California nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Magnet designated)
Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Start Date: September 23, 2025
End Date: December 23, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per pay period (2 weeks)
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2310 - $2480
Scrub Color: Navy Blue (L&D/OR scrubs provided)
Charting System: Epic EMR
Parking: Free on-site parking
Qualifications
Active California RN license (required for California nursing jobs; must be in hand at time of submission)
Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Previous travel nursing experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
Ability to circulate for C-sections
Willingness to float between facilities within California as needed
References: 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Commitment to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
L&D RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and other obstetric procedures
Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring
Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives
Recognize and respond to abnormal maternal and fetal conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)
Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
Float to other units/facilities as required
