Days 7A - 7P (United States of America) Job Description Summary:
UofL Health is a regional academic health system comprising five hospitals, four medical centers, nearly 200 physician practice locations, over 700 providers, the Frazier Rehab Institute, and Brown Cancer Center. With more than 12,000 team members, our mission is to deliver patient-centered care daily. Job Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients of varying age groups using the nursing process and standards. Assess patient health status comprehensively from admission to discharge. Administer medications following licensure authority, assess effects, and document appropriately. Collaborate with patients and families to plan and implement individualized care using current knowledge and safety standards. Evaluate care outcomes and revise plans to ensure safety and effectiveness. Educate patients and families, ensuring cultural and age appropriateness. Serve as an advocate, ensuring patient rights and preparing for discharge. Work collaboratively with healthcare team members, including delegation to unlicensed assistive personnel. Shift Requirements:
12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week. Overtime infrequently required. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); must start BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years of hire. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred). Current KY RN licensure or compact license (required). BLS certification (required); PALS and ACLS may be required for specific units. Employment Details:
