It aims to ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. The position is described as a full-time certified pharmacy technician. Responsibilities

Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, under the supervision of a pharmacist and within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Oversee the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management, including discipline and termination. Drive day-to-day non-clinical operations, ensure on-time task completion, and maintain efficient workflow while upholding quality standards. Customer Experience

Engage customers and patients, greet them, assist with products and services, resolve complaints, and respond to non-clinical inquiries to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices. Develop relationships by anticipating needs and proactively offering services to enhance the pharmacy experience. Operations

Assist the pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law; complete patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision; assist with vaccine administration, health screenings, and other services allowed by law. Exercise independent judgment to delegate and assign non-clinical tasks within policy and law; ensure on-time task completion and accountability for workflow. Prepare and file reports and records as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist; manage daily workflow, schedules, and inventory, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate supplies. Ensure compliance and execution of all business administrative activities and non-physician inventory management; manage annual inventory preparation. Support recordkeeping, security safeguards, and proper operation of pharmacy department equipment; adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy during applicable activities. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including decisions regarding discipline and termination, and apply constructive discipline to ensure compliance with laws and policy. Oversee technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling; monitor training completion and adherence to policies. Identify gaps in knowledge, support team member training, and ensure licensures, registrations, and certifications are active and compliant. Support recruitment, record retention, and training per Company policy and legal requirements. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and any required state certifications; pursue ongoing professional development and training as required by Walgreens. Engage in performance improvement plans and seek mentorship and coaching to enhance leadership skills. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from the support center and other departments; participate in store/pharmacy meetings and regular check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation. The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour. The actual hourly salary depends on geography, skills, education, and experience.
