Accountable for day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by law; ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers under pharmacist guidance and company policies. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist. Lead the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel; manage training, coaching, performance, and discipline/termination decisions. Engage customers and patients, greet and assist with products and services, resolve complaints, respond to requests, and model customer service best practices. Assist in patient care activities under pharmacist supervision, including patient registration, data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed; support healthcare services and vaccinations where permitted by law. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy while ensuring on-time task completion and efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies; manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule; ensure proper inventory levels and cleanliness of the pharmacy. Drive technology and process rollouts, monitor security, and maintain recordkeeping with Pharmacy Manager guidance. Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies during all dispensing activities and monitor for compliance with safety and quality standards. Support asset protection, diversion monitoring, and report concerns to the Pharmacy Manager; communicate prescription errors and participate in quality improvement programs. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, resolve issues, and participate in third-party audits; assist in improving financials, operational quality, and customer service. Coordinate off-site immunization clinics and community events, and build relationships with retail partners. People & Performance Management

Lead technician performance management, including discipline and termination decisions; ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements; maintain attendance and timeliness; drive engagement and performance improvement. Hire, onboard, train, and schedule technicians; monitor training completion and adherence to policies. Identify knowledge gaps and support team training through hands-on coaching or learning modules. Monitor licensures, registrations, and certifications; verify status using Walgreens resources; ensure policies for recruitment, record retention, and training comply with laws. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification or equivalent state certification; pursue ongoing professional development and training as required by Walgreens. Participate in performance improvement plans and seek coaching and mentorship. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from the support center; participate in store/pharmacy meetings and weekly check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (exceptions apply by location). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation. Salary information: This role is a paid position with a current salary range of $22.50 per hour - $31.00 per hour.
