Description In this hands‑on role, you’ll work under the guidance of a Lead Arborist and alongside other experienced professionals to preserve, plant, protect, prune, and fell trees, hedgerows, and shrubs to the highest standards. You’ll help ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work that delivers excellent value and outstanding customer satisfaction.
This is a development role—we’ll support you every step of the way with structured training, mentoring, and full funding to achieve your professional tree surgery qualifications.
We’re Looking For
Has experience in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance and is ready to take their career further.
Enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in doing a great job, safely and efficiently.
Is proactive, reliable, and keen to learn from experienced arborists.
Can work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Has a positive attitude and is motivated to build a long‑term career in tree surgery.
You’ll Be Involved In
Assisting with tree removals, pruning, planting, and site maintenance.
Supporting with traffic management and ensuring safe, tidy work areas.
Maintaining tools, equipment, and PPE to a high standard.
Following health and safety regulations at all times.
Development And Qualifications We’ll fully support you in developing your career through:
On‑the‑job training and mentoring from qualified arborists.
Funded industry‑recognised qualifications, including:
CS30 (Chainsaw maintenance and cross‑cutting)
CS31 (Felling small trees)
NPTC Chipper Operations
NPTC Safe Use of Stump Grinders
Forestry First Aid
Additional Requirements
A full UK driving licence.
A genuine interest in developing a long‑term career in arboriculture.
The ability to stay calm and effective in emergency or reactive situations.
Willingness to undertake further training and qualifications as required.
A valid DBS check (provided by us).
Benefits Package
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per year, with an annual salary review.
Performance Bonus: Based on individual and company‑wide targets.
Overtime: Paid opportunities available regularly on the evenings and weekends.
