Adel Research Group (ARG) at Princeton University invites applicants for full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate(s) positions to join our team. These positions offer an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research focused on Generative AI within the context of construction robotics, under the guidance of Dr. Arash Adel, Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture and Associated Faculty of the Department of Computer Science. The desired start date is Spring 2025. Appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding. About Us
ARG is an interdisciplinary laboratory for advanced research at the intersection of design, computation, and robotics. ARG\'s research interests include robot learning, human-robot interaction, Generative AI, computer vision, closed-loop control, extended reality (XR), and computational design. Responsibilities
Conduct interdisciplinary research on Generative AI within construction robotics, human-robot collaboration, and manufacturing. Disseminate research results through publications and presentations. Collaborate with the ARG team on interdisciplinary projects and assist with lab and project management. Contribute to developing grant proposals in collaboration with the ARG team. Qualifications
Required:
Doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Robotics, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.). Strong research track record and publications related to the job description. Excellent scientific writing and communication skills. Expertise in Generative AI with a strong background in machine learning, including experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs). Excellent programming skills (Python required; C# and C++ desired). Fluency in English. Desired:
Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS). Experience with sensing technologies, computer vision, and perception. Experience developing custom tools and end effectors for robotics research. Experience with human-robot collaboration. What We Offer
