Overview

Physician - Pediatrician position at University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. MD, DO or equivalent required with residency in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics. This role is within the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetics & Metabolism, and may involve care across the Kentucky Clinic, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, and outreach clinics. Responsibilities

The faculty member will organize and supervise clinical services for genetic, dysmorphic or metabolic problems occurring in children and adults. Collaborate with the Division to achieve the goals of the Division, Department and College in education, service and research. Coordinate services at Kentucky Clinic, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, and outreach sites. Work with multidisciplinary teams including physicians in training, nurses, therapeutic dietitians, lab specialists, genetic counselors, and coordinators as needed. Qualifications

Required Education:

MD, DO or equivalent Required Related Experience:

Completion of pediatric or internal medicine residency and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics Required License/Registration/Certification:

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics; Board eligible or certified in genetics (clinical, biochemical, and/or molecular); Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky Type and Status

The University of Kentucky seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Lexington, KY to provide care services in the Pediatric Genetics/Metabolic division. This position requires an MD, DO or the foreign equivalent, completion of residency in Pediatrics or internal medicine, and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics. This position supports education, service, and research aligned with the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine. The faculty member will provide and supervise clinical services for genetic, dysmorphic, or metabolic conditions in children and adults. Services will be delivered at the Kentucky Clinic, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, and outreach clinics. Kentucky Children’s Hospital houses Level I pediatric trauma care, Level IV neonatal ICU, and pediatric ICU, with numerous subspecialty programs. The Division collaborates with the Kentucky Department of Health and the Division of Newborn Screening for follow-up of biochemical disorders identified by universal infant screening. Staff includes physicians, nurses, therapeutic dietitians, lab specialists, genetic counselors, staff coordinators, and physicians in training. To apply, please include a CV with your application.
