Overview
Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center (Montana Psychiatry) is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide general outpatient psychiatric services for a new practice location in Kalispell, MT. Montana Psychiatry offers high-quality outpatient care with treatments including pharmacotherapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), IV Ketamine, Spravato, and psychotherapy. Location : Kalispell, Montana. This is a physician-led practice co-founded in 2009 by Dr. Erin Amato. The organization joined the Turnwell Mental Health Network in November 2022 to expand access to transformative treatment across Montana. Responsibilities
Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments, follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions. Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services (TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, IV ketamine) as appropriate; on-site training available. Create, communicate, and implement treatment plans with patients. Complete full and accurate documentation to support professional billing. Interpret test results, diagnose health issues, and provide feedback to patients. Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance. Prescribe medications when clinically necessary. Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plans. Coordinate with PCPs or specialists for referrals as appropriate. Provide services at community partnership locations as needed. Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Active and unrestricted license to practice in Montana. Unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice. Board certification as an APP provider (PMHNP-BC or PA-C) preferred. Eligible for credentialing with major insurance plans and Medicare participation. Excellent communication, patient relations, time management, and safety awareness. Experience with TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine is favorable but not required; on-site training is available. Computer literacy and experience with Electronic Medical Records. Benefits
