Overview
Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP or PA-C) role at Turnwell Mental Health Network. Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center (Montana Psychiatry) is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to provide general outpatient psychiatric services. Montana Psychiatry delivers high-quality and affordable outpatient care with pharmacotherapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), IV Ketamine, Spravato, and psychotherapy. Montana Psychiatry is physician-led, co-founded in 2009 by Dr. Erin Amato in Billings, MT. The team is dedicated to serving patients in the community and underserved areas. Montana Psychiatry joined the Turnwell Mental Health Network in November 2022 to expand access to transformative treatment in Montana; this new location and APP will further that mission. Responsibilities
Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments and follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions. Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services (TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine) as appropriate (training available). Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient. Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services. Interpret test results to diagnose health issues and provide feedback to patients. Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance. Prescribe medications when clinically necessary. Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan. Coordinate with PCPs and/or specialists as appropriate. Provide services at community partnership locations. Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Must possess an active and unrestricted license to practice in Montana. Experience in a behavioral health setting. Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice. Licensed by the NCCPA (or other national certifying body); CAQ-Psychiatry is preferred but not required. Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare. Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness. Experience with interventions such as TMS, Esketamine/Spravato, and IV ketamine is favorable but not required; on-site training available. Computer literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records. Benefits
