Overview

Assistant/Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance at University of North Georgia. Ten-month tenure-track position beginning August 1, 2026. Location: Gainesville campus with teaching on both the Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses. Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor depending on qualifications. Responsibilities

Teach five classes across fall and spring semesters per academic year, including real estate finance, principles of finance, and other upper-division courses for undergraduates and for students in the MBA program. Use innovative teaching methods and provide a student-centered, experiential learning approach in real estate and related finance courses. Engage with the real estate community to connect students with potential employers, bring speakers to campus, and facilitate opportunities for interaction between students and the business community. Publish in peer-reviewed theoretical, applied, or pedagogical research journals related to real estate. Provide academic advising and other activities that support student success. Participate in active service for the Department of Economics & Finance, the MCCB, and UNG. Qualifications

Ph.D. or DBA in real estate, finance with a real estate emphasis, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required at time of hire. Candidates who are ABD will be considered. Preferred Qualifications
