Akkodis is seeking a
Developer
for a
Contract
with a client in Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and AWS services like Lambda, ECS, and S3 to automate infrastructure provisioning and database operations. Rate Range:
$41/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain platform integrations to automate infrastructure provisioning and application access using tools like ServiceNow, Backstage, and AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3). Design and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable modular and scalable deployment processes. Integrate database management tools (e.g., DBMaestro) into CI/CD workflows and automate database provisioning across AWS databases like RDS, Redshift, and DynamoDB. Automate configuration of database tools as part of service catalog item creation and onboard engineering teams to standardized processes. Collaborate on building core developer portal functionality using selected frameworks such as Backstage or ServiceNow. Transfer platform knowledge and best practices to pilot engineering teams post-build phase to ensure long-term sustainability and adoption. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation. Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB). Familiarity with service catalog platforms such as ServiceNow or Backstage, and experience integrating database tools like DBMaestro into CI/CD pipelines.
