A rapidly growing platform is seeking a

Manager, Transmission and Interconnection

to work on utility-scale renewable energy projects and oversee the technical aspects of the utility interconnection process, including energy storage projects and other clean energy facilities. This role spans multiple phases of project development, from site selection and interconnection applications to construction, testing, and integration. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the

utility interconnection process

for clean energy projects. Provide

strategic input

on interconnection site selection and facility planning. Manage relationships with internal teams, external consultants, and utility partners. Oversee and

review interconnection modeling , including load flow and system studies. Support Development, Engineering, and Construction teams with technical insights for project integration. Stay informed on interconnection tariffs and policies for domestic and international utilities. Represent the organization in industry working groups, stakeholder meetings, and technical committees. Train and mentor junior engineers, guiding them in reviewing utility reports and analyses. Collaborate with EPC firms to ensure cost-effective and reliable electrical designs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (required). At least 5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical systems, preferably with a utility, system operator, or independent power producer. A minimum of 2 years of experience managing transmission interconnection processes for power plants. Familiarity with tools such as PSSE, Aspen, PSCAD, or PSLF (preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred). Proficiency in Python or other programming languages (a plus). Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Location & Working Arrangement: This is a job opportunity based in the United States, offering flexibility. Preferred locations: California, District of Columbia (DC), New York or Texas.
