Schedule: 100% Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Opportunity I’m partnering with a well‑established, privately held real estate and construction organization with a people‑first culture and a 40‑year track record of growth and excellence. They’re seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple entities, including a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed‑use properties.
If you’re a CPA or senior accounting professional with deep experience in real estate accounting and managing multi‑entity financials, this position offers the chance to step into a leadership role within a collaborative, stable, and growth‑oriented company.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead accounting operations across multiple real estate and related entities, including property management, hospitality, and commercial holdings.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare consolidated financial statements.
Partner with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
Manage and refine internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting systems.
Supervise audits, tax filings, and ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulations.
Provide clear financial insight and analysis to support operational decision‑making.
Mentor and develop a small but high‑performing accounting team.
Oversee systems including Yardi (property management) and QuickBooks (corporate office).
Support cash flow management, capital planning, and cross‑entity transactions.
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
10+ years of accounting experience with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
Proven experience managing multiple entities within real estate or property management environments.
Understanding of construction accounting, hospitality, or related industries a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, budgeting, and multi‑entity reporting.
Hands‑on experience with Yardi and QuickBooks preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
