Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Industrial Design at Monash University, Centre for Health Economics - Monash Business School. Location: Caulfield campus. Employment Type: Full-time, Continuing appointment. Remuneration: $118,974 - $141,283 pa (Level B) / $145,740 - $168,049 pa (Level C) plus 17% employer superannuation. This role focuses on advancing contemporary design practice through teaching and research within the Design Research Labs, fostering impactful design outcomes across academic, industry, and community contexts. Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching through lectures, seminars, studios, and workshops. Contribute to curriculum development and undergraduate course coordination. Supervise postgraduate students and lead or participate in research projects. Engage in assessment, student consultation, and academic administration within the department and broader faculty. Navigate the digital transformation of design practice and contribute to research leadership. Qualifications and Requirements
Strong record of teaching in a tertiary environment, including curriculum development and course coordination. Ability to actively engage and motivate students. Experience in design scholarship and practice with a publication record in high-quality refereed journals or book chapters, or high-quality non-traditional research outputs. Experience in postgraduate supervision, securing external research funding, and contributing to research leadership. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across academic and professional contexts. About Monash
