The Protective Services Agent reports to the Manager of Protective Services within the Department of Security Services, part of CU Boulder’s Division of Public Safety. The Division promotes a culture of ethics, integrity, and safety in alignment with CU Boulder’s commitment to operational excellence. The agent’s primary responsibility is to support the Division’s mission by fostering and maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This is achieved through direct protection services for principal(s), supervision of access control measures, and coordination with law enforcement and campus partners. The successful candidate will build collaborative relationships across departments, incorporate safety innovations, and uphold high levels of integrity and security in protective services. Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Three years of experience that includes progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of public safety and protective services. Equivalent combination of education and experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis. Qualifications

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively. Ability to influence action in the direction of organizational priorities in areas where there is not a direct reporting relationship. Ability to elicit business requirements for the public safety division and formulate solutions that meet business needs. Ability to direct, motivate, develop and evaluate staff. Ability to engage in budget planning and justification, as well as budget reconciliation. Willingness to build awareness of and follow campus policies and standards around hardware and software compliance, pricing and purchasing, and security standard processes. Location
