Full-Time Police Officer Position (Lateral or Recently Retired)
The Village of Kenilworth Police Department is recruiting lateral or recently retired candidates who are highly qualified, mature-minded individuals to complement our police department. Candidates must be of good moral character, demonstrate sound judgment, and be sensitive to the needs of the community. § 401(a) defined contribution plan with 7% employer contribution (must meet State eligibility requirements) § Paid vacation, holiday and sick time Requirements: § Must be eligible to obtain an Illinois FOID card § Must have high school diploma or equivalent § Must possess a valid driver’s license § Must be of good moral character § Must possess State of Illinois certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) or be eligible for re-certification § Prior to final appointment, applicant must also pass the following: o Background investigation / psychological evaluation o Medical examination / drug screen o Credit check Application packets and additional information can be found by clicking here or obtained in person at the Kenilworth Police Department, 419 Richmond Rd., Kenilworth, IL 60043.
