Overview
ProSidian seeks an Electrical Safety Oversight Specialist [DOE0090089] for Program Support on a Contract Contingent / W-2 basis, generally located across the CONUS in Richland, Washington. The position supports DOE EM Hanford in a federal, regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment requiring multidisciplinary contractor support, compliance oversight, and mission assurance. Responsibilities include providing electrical safety oversight to support the Hanford Field Office (HFO) and related DOE-EM/EMCBC activities across the Pacific Northwest. Electrical Safety Oversight Specialist duties under the General Support Services (GSS) for Hanford Field Office, including support functions across Electrical, Facility Representative, Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Safety, Training, Environmental/Regulatory, Safety and Security Enforcement, Nuclear Safety, Criticality Safety, Engineering, and Regulatory Support Services. Oversee LOTO program, NFPA 70E compliance, arc-flash labeling, and incident investigations. Conduct assessments, oversee contractor activities, document and report findings, and provide training to ensure electrical safety compliance at the Hanford site. Focus on comprehensive safety oversight to enhance contractor operations, communication, and mission success at Hanford. Engagement details: approximately 1 FTE on the ProSidian Engagement Team; work location at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA (subject to change), with potential some remote support as approved. Qualifications
7–10+ years of electrical safety experience; DOE/nuclear sector preferred. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; certifications are helpful. Functional alignment with Oversight And General Support Services under AMSE/AMSQ Task Category 05; ability to support safety, environment, and quality disciplines. Skills and Competencies
Primarily program and project management support for daily activities; align with AMSE/AMSQ functional area. LOTO oversight, arc-flash assessment, and procedure development. Safety mindset, effective communication, and vigilance. Strong teamwork, leadership, and adaptability to varied work streams. Additional Details
Fieldwork with PPE is required. Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the CO; travel in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. Security requirements: facility clearance; DOE clearance as indicated for work performed; on-site performance at Hanford with possible remote support. Government-furnished resources include office space, equipment, and software at HFO as needed. Work scope may vary by up to +/-15% of staffing levels over the period of performance.
