Position Summary

While this role is advertised in multiple regions to attract a diverse pool of talent, our primary focus is to hire someone based in or willing to relocate to the Tampa Bay area (St. Petersburg, Florida or surrounding communities). Local candidates are strongly preferred due to the nature of the role and potential in‑person collaboration. Your Impact (Essential Duties)

Provide executive leadership across all phases of litigation support and forensic engagements, from case scoping and discovery to expert report preparation and testimony Shape the strategic direction of the practice area, identifying market opportunities, refining service offerings, and positioning the firm as a leader in forensic accounting, expert testimony, and litigation support services Develop and enforce best practices for engagement execution, evidence documentation, regulatory compliance, and best practices in line with applicable legal and ethical standards Represent the firm in strategic client matters and complex litigation, bringing sound judgment, subject‑matter expertise, and credibility to high‑stakes environments Lead and review highly technical analyses, including forensic accounting reviews, business valuations, historical tracings, economic damages calculations, and financial modeling to ensure integrity, defensibility, and strategic alignment Deliver expert opinions and testimony in courtrooms, arbitrations, and depositions with poise, clarity, and authority Act as a principal technical advisor to legal counsel, providing objective analysis, case insights, and support in preparing discovery, motions, and cross‑examinations Ensure all work product is accurate, well‑documented, and compliant with professional standards and legal evidentiary requirements Cultivate long‑term, trusted relationships with attorneys, law firms, and other referral sources, with a focus on growing originations of new business Provide ongoing financial advisory support on matters such as contract disputes, intellectual property infringement, fraud investigations, shareholder disputes, and post‑acquisition matters Manage engagement scope, client expectations, and project timelines while maintaining a high standard of responsiveness and confidentiality Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of forensic accountants and litigation consultants, including setting performance goals, conducting reviews, and providing technical coaching Promote a collaborative, analytical, and accountable team culture with a strong focus on precision, ethics, and client service Design and deliver internal training programs to elevate the firm’s expertise in forensic accounting, litigation support, and expert witness preparation and testimony Support business development by participating in professional group presentations, relationship building with legal and financial professionals, and authoring thought leadership content Collaborate with firm leadership to align litigation support with broader firm strategy and to identify cross‑service opportunities with tax, assurance, accounting and other advisory teams Represent the firm at industry events, CPE programs, and professional forums to increase visibility and reinforce the firm’s reputation in forensic and dispute advisory services Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual and team performance and overall firm productivity Your Background

15+ years of experience in litigation support or related work, with 5 years in a leadership capacity CPA license, along with one or more of the following credentials: CFE, CFF, CVA, CBA, ASA, ABV, CDFA Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field Expert‑level proficiency in forensic accounting, business valuation, and economic damages methodologies, with a deep understanding of legal standards governing financial evidence and expert testimony Extensive experience serving as a lead expert witness, with a strong track record of delivering credible, persuasive, and defensible testimony in courtrooms, depositions, and arbitration settings Demonstrated leadership in managing complex litigation and forensic investigations, including overseeing case strategy, managing discovery processes, and directing large‑scale data analysis Sophisticated analytical thinking, with the ability to identify irregularities, model financial impacts, and synthesize findings into clear, litigation‑ready narratives Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce high‑quality expert reports, translate complex data into plain language, and brief legal teams and clients on findings Strong passion for continual learning and desire to master complex subject‑matter Established reputation as a thought leader, with a history of publishing, speaking, or contributing to professional associations in the areas of forensic accounting or litigation support Strategic client advisory skills, with the ability to partner with attorneys, corporate counsel, and stakeholders on case strategy, settlement scenarios, and trial preparation Advanced project and resource management abilities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and confidentiality across multiple engagements with tight deadlines and evolving legal requirements Proven ability to lead and grow high‑performing teams, including mentoring professionals in forensic techniques, courtroom readiness, and client communication Strong business acumen, with experience supporting practice growth, developing new service offerings, and contributing to proposal development and client retention initiatives Commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity, especially in handling sensitive or adversarial engagements with reputational or legal risk Full‑time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines Why Choose Us?
