Overview With more than 25,000 employees – including third-, fourth- and even fifth-generation shipbuilders – HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division is the largest industrial employer in Virginia. The Role Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
Must Have
ABET Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
Nice to Have
Experience with complex naval ship systems and advanced test instrumentation
Knowledge of advanced test analysis tools and methodologies
Experience managing cross-functional test teams in a large defense contractor environment
