Overview
Position Title: System Administrator
Resource will work within the Office of Information Technology-Systems Administration department. Providing continued support, design, and delivery of Microsoft solutions to meet business objectives and technical requirements, to create effective knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow solutions to drive the effective delivery of M365 solutions to a multi-tenant platform. This position focuses on Office 365, Security and Compliance, Exchange, MFA, ADFS, and all administration related parameters pertaining to Identity management within the M365 environment. Additional administration and technologies include Intune, Active Directory, LDAP, VIS, and other third-party software currently in operation within the OIT environment. Experience with SCCM and Intune platforms for deploying, managing, and providing solutions for client systems.
Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and implement solutions in SCCM and Intune for client solutions.
Troubleshoot Microsoft products related to WSUS, Group Policy, Windows OS, and Windows Servicing at an enterprise scale.
Collaborate with Microsoft 365 Product Owners to assist in daily operations and issues pertaining to Microsoft 365 solutions (e.g., E-mail, E-Discovery, Content Search) to improve organizational workflows.
Provide technical user support for incidents escalated from the helpdesk and resolve system and identity issues related to environment changes.
Assist in the implementation of a Microsoft 365 roadmap, leveraging new platform innovations as they are released.
Proficiency with F5 and VxRail, including hands‑on configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Assist with migration of content from various sources (servers, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) to the Microsoft 365 environment as designed.
Provide assistance on configuration and policy implementation for Microsoft portals and services managed by the department.
Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills; be detail oriented and capable of switching tasks and self-directing to prioritize work.
Qualifications
Skills Required: 5 years
Experience with Hybrid Office 365 deployments and ADsync using ADConnect solutions (preferred).
Experience with PowerShell scripts to manage/support Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments (preferred).
Experience with DNS, Email Gateway, and overall technical experience across multiple platforms (preferred).
Demonstrable experience in successfully supporting Microsoft 365 products.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration and configuration in multiple system environments.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with a focus in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Requirements
Windows Server administration (SCCM, Intune, WSUS, Group Policy).
Top skills: Windows Server, Windows administration.
Benefits and Details
Pay: $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
Overtime is not expected, but may be required on rare occasions for issue diagnosis or maintenance.
Work Arrangement: This is a fully onsite position in Montgomery, AL.
Education/Experience level: Intermediate
