Job Location: Labor Division 800 W Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85007 Posting Details: Salary: $24.4691 Grade: 19 Closing Date: September 5, 2025 Job Summary:
This position requires evaluating cases for compliance with Labor Department jurisdictional programs. Investigations are mainly conducted from the office, with limited fieldwork on an as-needed basis. The position may offer remote work options within Arizona, based on departmental needs and performance. Job Duties:
Receive and evaluate wage, sick time, minimum wage, retaliation, youth labor, and payment compliance claims. Contact involved parties to obtain information, clarify concerns, and weigh evidence. Provide education and resources to ensure compliance. Render written determinations with findings of fact, conclusions, and final orders based on evidence. Document actions, conversations, and justifications to support determinations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge in:
Investigative techniques, analyzing employment policies, wage agreements. Skills in:
Research, applying statutes, communication, interviewing, mediation, organization, case management, basic computer skills. Ability to:
Apply laws, communicate effectively, manage difficult situations, solve problems, work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently and in teams, analyze evidence. Selective Preference:
Investigation and caseload management experience. Pre-Employment Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, driver’s record checks, and completion of E-Verify are required for applicable positions. Benefits:
