Senior Biomarker Technician

to support members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply! The salary range ( or hiring range ) for this exempt position is

$85,000 - $95,000 . This range represents the company's good faith estimate of possible compensation at posting. The job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and executing protocols for biomarker verification in collaboration with project Leads/PI in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments. Perform experiments at BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 as per experimental design and organism requirements. Conduct molecular diagnostics including next-generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex platforms, and miRNA quantification. Detect etiologic agents in animal and clinical samples. Handle small animals with appropriate training. Assist in preparing technical reports and manuscripts. Perform sample collection, concentration, and processing, including Nanotrap and DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human matrices. Present protocols and data in meetings. Support biomarker verification experiments across BSL environments. Travel may be required to support missions and presentations. Perform sample processing using QIAgen EZ1, MagNA Pure, and manual methods, and develop protocols for sequencing and PCR. Develop and perform advanced sequencing protocols for various sample types. Conduct detailed clinical sample testing for animal and human studies. Train new team members in project-specific techniques. Analyze and report biomarker data for projects. Support project planning and execution for 5-8 projects annually. Contribute to biomarker reports and SOPs. Maintain BPRP enrollment as per regulations.
